Joanna Rupp, is an experienced investment executive with more than two decades in institutional asset management across public and private markets. Until recently, she served as Assistant Vice President and Managing Director of Private Equity at the University of Chicago, where she managed a US $2.8 billion private equity portfolio within the university’s endowment.
Before leading the private equity program, Joanna held senior roles at the University’s Office of Investments, including Chief Operating Officer and Manager of Public Equities. Her earlier career spanned investment banking and asset management at Security Capital Markets Group, Goldman Sachs, and U.S. Central Credit Union.
Joanna holds an MBA (cum laude) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Kansas. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Kauffman Fellow.
